Privacy
Short version: Ledge runs on your Mac and keeps what it reads there.
What we collect
Nothing. Ledge has no account system, no analytics, no telemetry, and no crash reporting that leaves your machine. There is no Ledge server for your data to reach.
What stays on your Mac
Everything the widgets touch. Calendar events, reminders, mail, clipboard history, notes, timers, system readings and your layout are read on demand and stored in Ledge’s own container on your Mac. They are never uploaded, never shared, and never sold.
A widget only asks for a permission when you add it. macOS shows you the prompt, Settings explains what it is for, and you can revoke it at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
The one network call
Activating a license contacts Polar, our payment and licensing provider, to check the key. After that the key is verified offline for 30 days at a time. Polar receives the license key and the purchase email you gave them at checkout; their handling of that is covered by Polar’s privacy policy. Ledge sends them nothing about how you use the app.
If you enable a widget that fetches something from the internet, such as Weather, that widget talks to its own source. Ledge does not proxy it and does not log it.
