macOS will say it can’t check Ledge. Here’s the one-time fix.

Ledge is signed but not notarized through Apple’s paid program. You only do this once.

  1. Open the DMG and drag Ledge to Applications.
  2. Open Ledge once. macOS says it was not opened. Click Done.

    That first attempt is what unlocks the next step.

  3. System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway.

    Confirm with Touch ID or your password. From then on it opens like any other app.

Prefer the Terminal? This does the same thing in one line:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Ledge.app

On macOS 14 Sonoma the shortcut is simpler: right-click Ledge, choose Open, then Open again.
